Job Description:

The Senior Manager, MedTech SCT Surgery Plan Leader, leads the Surgery Planning technology portfolio across demand, supply, production, and network planning. This role is accountable for product strategy, roadmap execution, operational performance, and delivery of business value in partnership with Supply Chain and Technology stakeholders.

The role shapes and delivers capabilities across the Surgery Planning ecosystem, including Demantra Demand Planning, Next Generation EMS, Supply Chain Data Orchestrator, Signifi, and OMP. The Senior Manager translates business priorities into an executable product portfolio and leads its delivery across projects, releases, and ongoing operations.

As the primary technology partner for Surgery Plan, this leader establishes clear priorities, maintains reliable and compliant operations, develops team capability, and advances a standardized, data-driven, and AI-enabled product model. Success is measured through planning outcomes, user adoption, service performance, delivery predictability, and realized business value.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • 20% - Lead the Surgery Plan product team and strengthen critical capabilities. Define objectives, roles, and resource priorities while coaching team members and supporting development and succession planning.
  • Build the product, process, data, architecture, integration, testing, and support capabilities required to deliver priorities and sustain reliable operations.
  • 20% - Implement consistent product management and delivery practices. Establish governance, decision rights, portfolio routines, metrics, backlog standards, release planning, and risk and dependency management in partnership with the Acceleration Office. Promote reusable patterns and AI-enabled ways of working that improve delivery speed, quality, transparency, and accountability.
  • 25% - Own product strategy, roadmap, and business partnership. Partner with Surgery Supply Chain leaders and planning process owners to define outcomes, assess demand, prioritize capabilities, and make informed scope and investment tradeoffs. Convert business needs into product roadmaps, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans that improve planning performance and align with MedTech standards.
  • 20% - Drive predictable delivery and measurable value realization. Direct projects, releases, and base-business demand across scope, schedule, cost, quality, compliance, and benefits. Manage budgets, estimates, vendors, resource plans, risks, and cross-team dependencies; provide transparent status reporting and timely escalation; and confirm that delivered capabilities achieve agreed business outcomes.
  • 15% - Ensure operational reliability, compliance, and continuous improvement. Oversee service performance, incidents, problem management, audit readiness, cybersecurity, access controls, data integrity, and lifecycle health. Partner with architecture, data, Quality, Technology Services, and vendors to simplify the landscape and apply automation, analytics, AI, and standard integration patterns where they provide sustainable value.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • Required Years of Related Experience: 12+ years of progressive technology, digital, supply chain, planning, or enterprise systems experience in a global organization.
  • People Management Experience: Required; 7+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers, matrixed teams, and/or global partner resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global or multi-business-unit technology teams, strengthen accountability and team effectiveness, and build high-performing, diverse, future-ready talent pipelines.
