Global Category Lead - Value & Access, Associate Director

What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will serve as the Associate Director Global Category Lead - Value & Access, partnering with Global and US Value & Access leaders.

You will lead end-to-end category strategy supporting Market Access, Coverage & Pricing, Innovation, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Global Operation Pricing (GOP), Global Integrated Access Strategy (IAS), and related Value & Access capabilities.

You will shape supplier strategy, business planning and governance to unlock innovation and value, with an opportunity to influence operating expense (OPEX) efficiency and gross-to-net (GTN) outcomes through supplier economics, data, analytics and demand management.

Success requires Procurement experience in Market Access, financial and commercial acumen, creative problem solving, and the ability to translate complex access, pricing and evidence needs into practical category strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor by bringing Procurement insight on supplier capabilities, market dynamics and leading practices.
  • Build strong relationships across Market Access, Innovation, HEOR, GOP, IAS, Finance and other Global and US Value & Access stakeholders. Align Procurement priorities with business roadmaps, lifecycle milestones and decision needs.
  • Develop multi-year category strategies across consulting, analytics, data, evidence generation, pricing and access services, integrating demand, market intelligence, supplier segmentation, sourcing plans and measurable value levers.
  • Build a supplier ecosystem that brings outside-in thinking, analytics, technology and new operating models to Value & Access challenges, improving speed, quality, efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Apply deep Value & Access Procurement expertise across sourcing, negotiation, contracting, supplier governance and risk management. Structure commercial models that balance capability, quality, flexibility, compliance and total value.
  • Partner with Finance and Value & Access leaders to improve OPEX productivity and identify ways Procurement can influence GTN performance. Build business cases, understand supplier economics, and connect category actions to budgets, forecasts and enterprise value.
  • Drive adoption of Procurement-led and business-led initiatives. Use creative problem solving and change leadership to simplify ways of working, manage demand and unlock cross-functional opportunities.
  • Establish category and supplier key performance indicators, governance and performance cadences. Track value, delivery, innovation, risk and stakeholder outcomes, adapting strategies as business priorities and the access environment evolve.
