Job Description

About the Role

Takeda is advancing r-ADAMTS13 (TAK-755/ADZYNMA) as a potential transformative therapy for Acute Ischemic Stroke (AIS), an acute, high-burden condition with significant unmet need and limited treatment options for many patients.

As a Global Brand Lead, you will help shape the global commercial strategy for an investigational therapy in acute ischemic stroke, a high-burden condition with significant unmet need and limited treatment options for many patients. You will play a key role during proof-of-concept development, guiding strategic choices that inform the target product profile and potential later-stage clinical development. This is not a conventional marketing role focused on campaigns or promotional materials. You will bring a broad commercial and program perspective to complex scientific, clinical, access, manufacturing, and market questions. Working with a global cross-functional team, you will evaluate potential scenarios, clarify decision points, and anticipate how the rapidly evolving treatment landscape may affect the program. Your work will contribute to evidence-based investment decisions, future commercialization planning, and preparation for hospital-based adoption if proof of concept is achieved.

How You Will Contribute

  • Lead commercial scenario planning by evaluating clinical outcomes, competitor developments, treatment changes, regulatory pathways, and potential commercialization options.
  • Shape clinical development strategy by connecting endpoints, evidence requirements, patient needs, access considerations, and potential pricing implications.
  • Refine the target product profile through market research, stakeholder insights, forecasting, and assessment of future treatment scenarios.
  • Establish strategic decision frameworks that clarify available options, key assumptions, decision triggers, and recommendations for program investment.
  • Guide cross-functional collaboration across clinical development, access, insights, manufacturing, medical, regulatory, and regional teams.
  • Develop positioning and market strategy for potential standalone or combination use within a complex scientific-based treatment pathway.
  • Engage scientific and senior stakeholders to test strategic options, communicate recommendations, and support informed decision-making.
  • Design the global launch readiness framework for AIS, including stroke center segmentation, treatment pathway mapping, hospital protocol integration, formulary/P&T readiness, and acute-care implementation requirements.
  • Develop global frameworks and tools to support cross-functional decisions on target patient population, TPP refinement, evidence priorities, pricing/access strategy, and potential dual-branding implications.
  • Collaborate with Global Pricing & Access and regions to define the value proposition, hospital access needs, and evidence requirements.
  • Partner with Global Medical and regions to build the AIS scientific narrative, KOL engagement strategy, congress planning, medical education priorities, and evidence-generation roadmap.

Qualifications

  • University degree in marketing/business or life sciences; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical experience; acute care, neuroscience, hematology, cardiovascular, or hospital specialty experience is a plus.
  • Stroke, emergency medicine, hospital access, thrombolytic, or high-science specialty launch experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into end-to-end execution, including insight generation, agency management, budget and timeline ownership, and delivery of development- and launch-critical assets.
  • Excellent senior-level communication, influencing, and governance skills, with ability to align diverse stakeholders around clear strategic choices.
  • Ability to work independently and drive outcomes with minimal direction in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrixed, global environment.
  • Launch, pre-launch, or late-stage development experience required, ideally in a global or major-market role.

At Takeda, we are transforming patient care through the development of novel specialty pharmaceuticals and best in class patient support programs. Takeda is a patient-focused company that will inspire and empower you to grow through life-changing work.

This position is currently classified as "hybrid" in accordance with Takeda's Hybrid and Remote Work policy with base in our Cambridge, MA office.
