The Global Engineering & Technology organization operates as one integrated team in the delivery of Engineering, Maintenance and Automation solutions. We operate in a standard, coordinated and consistent manner in support of the current and future requirements of our Manufacturing and Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) and in partnership with key internal/external network.

The Maintenance Senior Manager will lead and own Maintenance operations for the US LMDS site, driving the implementation of preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and maintenance engineering projects that optimize the performance, reliability, and productivity of the site’s manufacturing facilities and equipment.

The selected candidate will lead a team of highly technical individual contributors and Supervisors responsible for production equipment and utilities maintenance, ensuring the site consistently delivers on its safety, environmental, cost, quality, and production objectives while operating in full alignment with company production standards and cGMP requirements.

As a key leader at a newly constructed site, this role will partner with Operations, Quality, MSAT, Global Engineering Technologies, Facilities Management, EHS, and other functions to build and establish the site’s foundational maintenance systems, including Safety, Calibration and Master Data, Documentation, Spare Parts, Utilities, and Equipment Maintenance. The Maintenance Senior Manager will drive asset reliability and the effective use of site resources, and will champion a positive, collaborative, “can-do” culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a team of individual contributors and Supervisors; own performance management, training and development, succession planning, and meaningful career development conversations to build a high-performing maintenance organization.
  • Establish and own the processes that drive the execution of preventive maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and maintenance projects to optimize the productivity and reliability of manufacturing and utilities equipment.
  • Lead the design, build, and implementation of Safety, Calibration and Master Data, Documentation, Spare Parts, Utilities, and Equipment Maintenance Systems for the new site.
  • Develop tactical and operational plans for the Maintenance organization that support site objectives and business goals. Allocate resources to deliver on Maintenance targets for reliability, availability, cost, and compliance, and be responsible for execution to ensure on-time production schedules.
  • Oversee maintenance programs and repair projects, serving as the primary point of contact and trusted partner for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner on risk assessments for the integration and use of new equipment and machinery, leading engineering reviews of proposed equipment to evaluate reliability, maintenance costs, asset criticality ranking, and previously unidentified safety risks.
  • Own the Maintenance budget and ensure cost-effective use of resources, including internal maintenance costs, service providers, spare parts, and contractors.
  • Own the Maintenance Planning and Scheduling process, ensuring corrective work orders are properly planned and weekly schedules are developed, executed, and tracked against key performance indicators (KPIs).
