The Lead, Technology Risk & Compliance Business Partners - AI will deliver the team's work and act as a senior hands-on contributor within Technology Risk & Compliance Business Partners - AI. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for leading discrete pieces of work, providing risk and compliance support to GSK's Enterprise AI organisation as it builds and operates AI solutions for the Tech function. This role covers GSK's artificial intelligence and machine learning estate, including generative and agentic AI.
About the team. The Technology Risk and Compliance Business Partners are the face of the Cyber Security Office to GSK's business and technology areas. Each partner owns the cyber risk and compliance relationship for an assigned area, translating central strategy into what that area actually needs to do, and bringing its risk back into the Cyber Security Office.
Key responsibilities:
This role will provide you the opportunity to lead key activities to progress your career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Support the cyber risk and compliance relationship for the assigned area, GSK's artificial intelligence and machine learning estate.
- Develop a working understanding of the Enterprise AI organisation's development and deployment practices for generative and agentic AI solutions, and advise the team on how changing AI capabilities, threats and regulations affect its risk posture.
- Maintain current knowledge of how AI systems can be attacked, misused or behave unexpectedly, including prompt injection, jailbreaking, data poisoning, model theft, hallucination and unsafe autonomous actions, and the preventive and detective controls, such as guardrails, output filtering, monitoring, human-in-the-loop oversight and access controls on agentic actions, used to manage those risks.
- Identify, analyse and influence the management of cyber security risk across the assigned area.
- Hold operational areas, risk owners and suppliers to account against the Cyber Security Office strategy for the assigned area.
- Build and maintain the cyber risk register for the area, including risk statements, ratings, owners and treatment plans.
- Embed security requirements and controls at the start of initiatives rather than retrofitting them before go-live.
- Facilitate risk assessments for new initiatives, systems and third parties in the assigned area.
- Translate central cyber policy and standards into practical guidance the area can apply.
- Use approved AI tools in your day-to-day work to improve your own productivity and your team’s ways of working, sharing what works and applying sound judgement, including validating outputs and following GSK’s Responsible AI, privacy and security requirements.
