Job Description
When you're part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll do meaningful work that enables our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. As the world leader in serving science, our digital ecosystem powers billions of dollars in customer interactions and supports scientists, researchers, healthcare professionals and industrial customers around the globe.
Our Digital Customer Experience organization is responsible for defining and delivering the future of digital commerce across our digital experiences.
We are seeking a senior product leader to own a strategic growth portfolio focused on expanding how, where and how effectively customers discover, engage with and purchase from Thermo Fisher Scientific. This role will shape the product strategy that connects growth opportunities to our strategic priorities.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director, Digital Product Management, this leader will define the vision, strategy and multi-year roadmap for digital growth across the customer journey. The role is accountable for identifying the highest-value opportunities to increase digital demand, adoption, conversion and revenue, then translating those opportunities into scalable product experiences across owned sites, B2B procurement ecosystems, marketplaces and emerging channels.
The role requires an enterprise product leader who can combine customer and market sensing, commercial acumen, analytics and cross-functional influence to determine where Thermo Fisher Scientific should invest next and how product capabilities can create differentiated growth.
How You Will Make an Impact
Set Specific Growth Strategies
· Define and communicate a clear product strategy that connects customer needs, commercial priorities and market shifts to measurable growth outcomes.
· Build a multi-year roadmap spanning owned digital experiences, B2B procurement channels, enterprise marketplaces and emerging commerce models.
· Identify where shared capabilities can create leverage across channels while allowing experiences to flex to customer and marketplace context.
· Anticipate changes in buying behavior, procurement ecosystems, AI-enabled discovery and digital commerce to shape future investment priorities.
Own Growth Outcomes, Not Just Roadmaps
· Own and influence outcomes including digital revenue, customer adoption, conversion, engagement and retention.
· Use funnel performance, customer behavior and commercial data to identify growth constraints and prioritize the highest-value interventions.
· Develop business cases and investment recommendations that connect product choices to customer value and financial impact.
· Establish success measures and operating mechanisms that make performance visible and enable course correction.
Turn Customer and Market Insight into Product Direction
· Engage customers, commercial teams, procurement leaders and ecosystem partners to understand unmet needs and emerging behaviors.
· Lead market sensing, competitive analysis and experimentation to surface new growth opportunities.
· Translate insight into differentiated experiences across discovery, offer, purchasing and post-purchase moments where they materially improve growth or customer productivity.
· Champion test-and-learn practices, using qualitative and quantitative evidence to refine strategy.
Lead Across a Complex Enterprise
· Align divisional leaders, commercial teams, marketing, UX, analytics, platform product managers and engineering around clear priorities and outcomes.
· Influence shared platform roadmaps so enterprise capabilities support the most valuable growth opportunities.
· Present strategy, performance, tradeoffs and investment recommendations to senior executives with clarity and conviction.
· Create focus in a highly matrixed environment, making explicit choices about what to pursue, what to sequence and what not to do.
Portfolio Scope
The portfolio may span multiple growth levers rather than a single channel, including:
- Demand & discovery: Search, findability, recommendations, AI-enabled discovery and entry into commerce experiences
- Offer & conversion: Pricing and promotional experiences, personalization, guided selling, cart and checkout optimization
- B2B & marketplace growth: Procurement integrations, punchout, enterprise marketplaces and next-generation Commerce Everywhere experiences
- Adoption & expansion: Digital channel adoption, repeat purchasing, account experiences and capabilities that expand share of customer activity
Qualifications
Minimum
· Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
· 8-10+ years of relevant experience in digital product management, digital commerce, growth product, enterprise software or related fields
· Demonstrated ownership of complex product portfolios tied to measurable commercial outcomes
· Experience defining product strategy and multi-year roadmaps across large-scale digital ecosystems
