- Own external partner engagement from confidentiality agreement through definitive agreement, including valuation, term sheets, negotiations, and coordination of transaction documents with Finance and Legal.
- Ensure diligence findings and value drivers flow into implementation; support a disciplined handoff; track performance against the business case; and use post-transaction learning to improve the pipeline and BD Standard Work.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree preferred. Ten or more years of experience in medical devices, operations, strategy, or business development, including at least five years leading licensing, strategic partnership, or M&A activities.
- Demonstrated success leading complex licensing, partnership, or M&A transactions from sourcing through close and implementation.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including valuation, scenario analysis, business-case development, and executive recommendations.
- Working knowledge of medical-device development, global regulatory and quality requirements, supply considerations, and relevant software or digital-health solutions.
