Job Purpose

The Scrum Master and Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of technology-enabled Workplace Real Estate & Facilities (WREF) initiatives, using agile project delivery practices to drive timely, compliant and value-focused outcomes. They partner with WREF, Tech and supplier teams to translate site and portfolio needs into a prioritized backlog, orchestrate cross-functional delivery (including OT/IT components), and ensure risks, compliance and stakeholder expectations are proactively managed to support GSK’s workplace, safety and productivity objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Tech WREF projects (from initiation to handover), applying agile methods (e.g. Scrum/Kanban) within GSK’s Project Management Framework and portfolio governance, ensuring schedule, budget, quality, EHS and compliance objectives are met.
  • Scope, backlog and roadmap management
  • Define clear project scope and outcomes, maintain an ordered product/project backlog, and develop iteratively delivered roadmaps aligned with WREF strategies, site masterplans and Tech roadmaps
  • Cross-functional stakeholder and supplier management
  • Act as primary Tech WREF point of contact for project stakeholders (Site, WREF, Tech, suppliers, OT/IT vendors), establishing effective communication and governance routines, managing expectations, and securing decisions and approvals in line with PM and WREF standards.
  • Coordinate design, build, integration and rollout of technology solutions for WREF, ensuring alignment with GSK engineering, OT security and Tech standards.
  • Risk, change and compliance management
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, apply formal change control, and ensure adherence to GSK Standards, Tech policies and any applicable requirements.
  • Budget, cost and benefit management
  • Manage project budgets and forecasts, track spend and variances, manage supplier and service contracts in collaboration with Procurement and WREF, and support benefit tracking and value realization for workplace and portfolio outcomes.
  • Data, reporting and performance management
  • Establish project KPIs, cadence and dashboards; produce timely status, risk and financial reports; and leverage digital tools and data to support transparent decision-making and portfolio visibility across WREF and Tech leadership tiers.
  • Promote and coach agile and lean delivery practices within Tech WREF teams and suppliers; drive lessons learned, standardization and continuous improvement in project methods, tools and templates in alignment with Tech Agile CoE / PMO guidance.
  • Maintain robust, inspection-ready project documentation (plans, decisions, risk registers, technical documentation) and support WREF/Tech audits and inspections as required, ensuring accurate configuration and handover to operations and support teams.
