You will also support reference ranges, custom alerts, toxicity grading tables, reporting, quality-event investigations, and other database-related business needs.

Working closely with Business Transformation, laboratory operations, quality, clinical, and other global stakeholders, you will serve as a technical resource for database content and processes. You will contribute to process improvements, support implementation activities, maintain operational metrics, and help ensure database services continue to meet evolving business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex reviews of laboratory database content to ensure compliance with validation documentation, SOPs, business requirements, and supporting source documentation.
  • Conduct technical and quality-control reviews of database modification and addition requests, identifying discrepancies, incomplete information, or requestor errors and coordinating resolution as needed.
  • Implement approved database updates accurately and in accordance with established change-control and database procedures.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of database changes to support traceability, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Review custom reports and database outputs for completeness and accuracy and resolve identified issues prior to completing impact assessments or supporting change-control activities.
  • Research and respond to questions regarding laboratory database content using approved reference sources, clinical standards of care, peer-reviewed literature, and other appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in the investigation, documentation, and resolution of database-related quality events and discrepancies.
  • Draft clear internal and external communications related to database changes, custom reference ranges, pediatric reference ranges, custom alerts, quality issues, and other business requirements.
  • Enter, maintain, and verify data within laboratory databases and associated applications, tools, process trackers, and metrics repositories.
  • Support the maintenance and revision of toxicity grading content, including master toxicity tables, coding quality-control reviews, and verification of toxicity-grade outputs.
  • Coordinate with supporting departments and stakeholders during database updates and other implementation activities, helping manage timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Provide recommendations for enhancements to database services, procedures, processes, controls, and supporting tools.
  • Participate in tactical process-improvement initiatives designed to increase quality, efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
