Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and support the In-Sight system throughout each business day, including reviewing unacknowledged alarms and completing an end-of-day alarm review to help reduce unnecessary after-hours, weekend, and holiday alarm activity.
- Review equipment trends and monitoring reports to identify potential performance concerns or signs of equipment degradation and coordinate appropriate follow-up before equipment failures occur.
- Monitor temperature monitoring system health, including identification of offline motes, sensor issues, communication failures, and other monitoring concerns. Troubleshoot issues and coordinate corrective actions, including submission of work orders when appropriate.

- Perform basic onsite troubleshooting and corrective actions for monitoring system issues. Activities may include repositioning motes, replacing batteries, rebooting devices, realigning door sensors, and determining whether an alarm may be related to equipment operation, calibration, maintenance, or the monitoring device. Escalate issues to the appropriate service or technical support team when additional assistance is required.
- Provide end-user support and education on the proper use of InSight, alarm management, monitoring best practices, and applicable system processes.
- Coordinate vendor escort activities in accordance with site HSE and access requirements. Coordinate with laboratory personnel to ensure appropriate support during vendor service activities and provide continuous escort coverage when laboratory personnel are unavailable or alternate arrangements have not been made. Serve as a primary point of contact for general vendor questions to help minimize disruption to laboratory operations.
- Support AMS asset management activities, including maintaining accurate asset information, identifying and communicating data discrepancies, supporting asset additions, changes, and removals, and assisting with ongoing data quality and asset lifecycle activities.
- Support annual physical inventory and asset verification activities, including locating equipment, validating asset information, documenting discrepancies, and supporting required system updates.
- Collaborate with the broader ULS/AMS team to support customer requests, program initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and established service-level expectations.
- Maintain compliance with customer site requirements, applicable safety procedures, standard operating procedures, and Thermo Fisher Scientific policies.
- Support the after-hours Laboratory Emergency Response Team (LERT) program by serving as an on-call responder up to two (2) times per month, responding to laboratory emergencies in accordance with established site protocols
