Job Description
Field-Based - Precision Account Manager. The Precision Account Manager (PAM) is a field-based oncology account role responsible for educating a multidisciplinary team of cancer and digestive system specialists and their staff who treat patients with FGFR2-positive cholangiocarcinoma about an available treatment for this condition. The PAM will manage a defined geography and engage oncologists, gastrointestinal oncology specialists, gastroenterologists, hepatobiliary specialists, pathologists, pharmacists, advanced practice providers, nurses, molecular diagnostics stakeholders, financial counselors, and appropriate office staff. The role requires experience navigating academic medical centers, cancer institutions, organized systems of care, and complex account environments.
The PAM will develop and execute account plans, deliver accurate and compliant scientific and product education, support appropriate patient identification through molecular testing awareness, and coordinate internal resources to address account needs. Success requires strong oncology clinical acumen, strategic account management, cross-functional collaboration, customer-focused execution, and consistent adherence to all legal, regulatory, and company requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage an assigned geography and achieve or exceed established sales objectives and brand performance expectations in a compliant and ethical manner.
- Create, build, and maintain professional relationships with academic medical centers, cancer institutions, integrated delivery networks, community oncology practices, key opinion leaders, account influencers, and other healthcare stakeholders.
- Educate multidisciplinary customer teams on the disease state, FGFR2 alterations, the role of comprehensive molecular profiling, appropriate patient identification, and the approved product using company-approved resources and messaging.
- Conduct high-quality face-to-face and virtual customer engagements, including formal and informal presentations that clearly communicate complex clinical, molecular testing, access, reimbursement, and patient-support information.
- Develop and execute robust territory and account plans that identify account priorities, treatment pathways, diagnostic workflows, key stakeholders, barriers to appropriate use, and opportunities to improve customer and patient support.
- Understand account-level processes for molecular testing, pathology coordination, specialty pharmacy fulfillment, patient access, reimbursement, HUB services, and patient support, and connect customers with appropriate resources.
- Partner cross-functionally with Precision Oncology leadership, Medical Science Liaisons, Market Access, National or Strategic Accounts, Marketing, Sales Operations, Training, and Patient Services to deliver coordinated account support.
- Mobilize company resources appropriately while maintaining clear role boundaries between commercial and medical functions.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of cholangiocarcinoma, FGFR2 fusions, relevant treatment modalities, competitor activity, emerging oncology trends, and the evolving business environment.
- Provide relevant field and customer insights to leadership and internal partners regarding disease awareness, diagnosis, molecular testing, treatment education, account needs, tools, and product messaging.
- Use customer relationship management and other company systems to document customer interactions, maintain account plans, manage follow-up activities, and support effective territory execution.
- Analyze business trends, account dynamics, claims or other approved data, and territory performance to prioritize activities and inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage territory resources and promotional budgets within company guidelines; complete required reports, training, administrative responsibilities, and expense submissions accurately and on time.
- Participate in relevant medical meetings, conferences, speaker programs, and local educational initiatives consistent with company policy.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors and proactively managing bias.
- All other duties as assigned.
