Heartflow is a medical technology company advancing the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease, the #1 cause of death worldwide, using cutting-edge technology. The flagship product—an AI-driven, non-invasive cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA Chest Pain Guidelines called the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis—provides a color-coded, 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries indicating the impact blockages have on blood flow to the heart. Heartflow is the first AI-driven non-invasive integrated heart care solution across the CCTA pathway that helps clinicians identify stenoses in the coronary arteries (RoadMap™Analysis), assess coronary blood flow (FFRCT Analysis), and characterize and quantify coronary atherosclerosis (Plaque Analysis). Our pipeline of products is growing and so is our team; join us in helping to revolutionize precision heartcare.

Heartflow is a publicly traded company (HTFL) that has received international recognition for exceptional strides in healthcare innovation, is supported by medical societies around the world, cleared for use in the US, UK, Europe, Japan and Canada, and has been used for more than 750,000 patients worldwide.

The IT Director, Infrastructure and Operations provides strategic, operational, and architectural leadership across Systems Engineering, Enterprise Networking, and End User Services. You will own the corporate infrastructure roadmap and vendor ecosystem while partnering closely with InfoSec, Quality, and Clinical Operations leadership. In this position, you are accountable for infrastructure scalability, enterprise resilience, and modernizing service delivery through automation and AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and grow team leads across Systems Engineering, Enterprise Networking, and End User Services, establishing a scalable operating rhythm and talent model across FTEs, contractors, and MSPs.
  • Own the multi-year infrastructure roadmap, long-range capacity planning, and project portfolio across hybrid cloud, private data center environments, and corporate SaaS platforms.
  • Maintain executive accountability for the high-availability computing environments and validated endpoints supporting Clinical Operations under strict Quality Management System (QMS) change control.
  • Direct enterprise network operations across all corporate offices, colos, and remote workers, partnering with InfoSec to drive Zero Trust network access, Device Trust enforcement, and resilient site-to-site connectivity.
  • Oversee tiered (L1–L3) service desk operations, AV/collaboration technology, and automated lifecycle management for a distributed, mixed-OS fleet.
  • Drive the adoption of AI and automation across support and operations to expand self-service, reduce ticket volumes, and guarantee seamless day-one onboarding.
  • Ensure continuous audit readiness for IT controls under SOC 2, HITRUST, SOX ITGC, HIPAA and QMS change control.
  • Own enterprise disaster recovery and ransomware recovery programs, directing cross-functional tabletop exercises, recovery playbooks, and immutable backup validation.
  • Manage the infrastructure budgeting process, cost forecasting, enterprise licensing strategies, and vendor contract negotiations.
  • Govern the asset management system of record and partner with Facilities to deliver IT infrastructure for office buildouts, moves, and consolidations.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years in IT infrastructure and operations, with 5+ years managing multi-disciplinary engineering and support teams through managers or team leads.
  • Proven background overseeing hybrid infrastructure, hyperconverged platforms (e.g., Nutanix), public cloud environments, enterprise storage, and resilient backup systems.
  • Strong grasp of enterprise routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and modern Zero Trust/SASE architectures.
  • Experience overseeing fleet management for mixed Mac and Windows environments (e.g., Entra ID, hybrid AD, Intune, Jamf, Automox).
  • Demonstrated success running ITIL-aligned service delivery, major incident command, root-cause reviews, and implementing AI/automation to measurably reduce ticket volumes.
  • Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure budgets, vendor renewals, and multi-site project portfolios.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience in medical device, life sciences, or FDA-regulated environments supporting validated systems, GxP procedures, and computer systems validation.

  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CCNP, CISM, ITIL).
